“Former site of Hong Kah Secondary School in Jurong West to be redeveloped into Grace Orchard Special Needs School; the ”

The former campus of Hong Kah Secondary School in Jurong West will be redeveloped into the new site for Grace Orchard School, providing educational services for students with special needs. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2028, and the school plans to add sheltered workshops to provide better training programmes for graduates aged 18 and above.
Last month, the Ministry of Education (MOE) called for tenders for land surveying works at the former campus. In response to inquiries by Lianhe Zaobao, MOE confirmed that Grace Orchard School will relocate to the former Hong Kah Secondary site, with a target to complete construction by the end of 2028.
In 2021, MOE announced plans to increase Grace Orchard School’s student intake from 450 to 600 students, but did not disclose the school’s new location was at the time. Grace Orchard School provides education for students aged 7 to 18 with autism or mild intellectual disabilities.
