The Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) has launched the Silver Guardian Programme, with the goal of recruiting 2,400 volunteers to serve as volunteers in active senior centers across the island by 2028. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung hosted a launch ceremony for the new plan.
Health Minister Ong Ye Kung also said: “The pilot project confirms what researchers, doctors and the Ministry of Health have said, which is that volunteers can benefit greatly, maybe even more than beneficiaries of volunteer work.”
