ECAT Makeup Workshop and Visit by the President

On 9 October 2020, trainees from our Educarer Aide Training (ECAT) programme were treated to an enrichment session – a Hands-On Make Up workshop. Trainer Ms Evangelina taught our girls about caring for their skin and went through the different steps of putting on makeup.

The trainees were also delighted to meet President Halimah Yacob who paid a special visit to interact with the girls.

Spent my morning at Presbyterian Community Services (PCS) learning about PCS’ EduCarer Aide Training (ECAT) programme…

One of our ECAT trainees, Ms Mona Cowan, recited a poem that she had personally written to the President. A framed-up version of the poem was presented to the President as a token of appreciation.

Another of our trainees, Ms Gloria Lim, shared with the President about her journey of recovery from a sudden heart failure 9 years ago which affected her motor and cognitive abilities. (Her story was featured in The Straits Times)

It was indeed an eventful day for the girls!
